Science Olympiad is a club that allows students to learn about many areas of science and engineering through a fun, competitive environment. Each year a group of 15 students competes against other area schools in 23 events ranging from Astronomy and Biology tests to Chemistry Labs to Bridge building and Gravity Vehicle design. Students can earn awards in individual events and teams that perform well enough are invited to advance to the state competition. The WHS team has a long history of placing high at the regional competition and many trips to the state competition.
